The View Swellendam offers quality Bed & Breakfast Accommodation in the heart of the Langeberg Mountains, at the foot of the Marloth World Heritage Nature Reserve.

The View Swellendam B&B is located in one of the best parts of Swellendam with truly magnificent views up into the majestic Langeberg Mountains, but within easy walking distance of numerous historical buildings, museums and restaurants. 

The View is a newly and lovingly renovated large family home, set in a lush, established garden where guests can enjoy quiet relaxation. We have 4 beautifully appointed and furnished ensuite rooms. All rooms have mountain views.

Courtyard

Coutyard is a King size or twin suite, with a full bathroom (shower, bath, basin, toilet and bidet). Bathroom and bedroom open onto a private garden with magnificent mountain views.

Clock Peaks

Clock Peaks offers luxurious accommodation with a Queen sized bed and ensuite bathroom. Bathroom includes shower, toilet, basin, skylight and extractor fan.

Misty Peak

King or twin and bathroom ensuite. Bathroom provides, shower, toilet and basin. Misty Peak is luxuriously furnished with a magnificent mountain view.

Langeberg

Langeberg is a luxuriously furnished suite offering a King size bed or twin beds, with a view up into the mountains. Ensuite bathroom offers, a shower, toilet, basin, skylight and extractor fan.

Leisure Facilities

We have a large swimming pool, which has a special water seat, where guests can sit and enjoy a glass of wine whilst looking up at unobstructed views of the Mountains. 

The guests have use of a spacious lounge and dining room area, with sliding doors leading onto a large deck.  

Warm up around the roaring fire on chilly evenings or take a rug and gaze at the stars, next to a brazier on the deck.  

The Country Kitchen

Patrick, the owner and chef, has always been passionate about food. So fairly late in life he completed a Chefs training through Capsicum Culinary Studio and has a Diploma in the Culinary Arts from City and Guilds London.”

Dinner is a delicious 3 course affair, with no effort spared to give our guests a memorable dining experience. The menu is changed daily, so the guests get as many experiences as possible.

Breakfast is fabulous with cold and hot options as well as pancakes, local jams and honey.

Patrick’s food philosophy is all about freshness and flavour and so The View has an extensive vegetable and herb garden.
