Cape Town - Claremont

General Information

Claremont is a growing area located in the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa.  Starting off as predominantly a residential area in the 1970's, Claremont has grown into a large area with many commercial businesses.

Claremont is home to the award winning Cavendish Square shopping centre, a popular mall filled with a range of outlets and restaurants, amongst other great shopping centres.  

This area is currently undergoing some major development with the construction of new apartment blocks, a hotel and the impending bypass road, making it a very prevalent part of Cape Town.

Activities and Attractions

Cape Town is always filled with many things to do and see, making it South Africa's best loved area for tourists.  Arderne Gardens on Main Road holds some of the most fascinating collections of trees and shrubs, and with the attractive Japanese-style ponds​, it is a popular wedding photography venue.  Round the corner from Claremont lies Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, a beautiful and serene park.
