Geography and History
Tableview or Table View is a suburb of Cape Town, in the Western Cape, South Africa, named after its view of Table Mountain. It has expanded rapidly since the 1970s and has extensions such as Flamingo Vlei, Sunridge, West Riding and Killarney.
Table View Beach is located along the seafront road. The beach stretches in both directions making it great for long walks and exercising. If you are there to relax you will be treated to great views of Table Mountain and Robben Island and there are always ships sailing past in the bay.
The Blaauwberg coast suburbs of Parklands and Table View are only 15 minutes drive North of Cape Town, on the Atlantic coastline.

For the tourist, Cape Town offers a variety of activities and attractions, such as the Two Oceans Aquarium, Ratanga Junction Theme Park, Canal Walk Shopping Centre, craft markets, the BMW Pavilion, IMAX Theatre and numerous shopping centres.
